Finally in late July ’23 the Airbus Perlan Mission II is gathering in El Calafate! It’s winter in Patagonia and the Andes mountain roads have been closed many, many days. But the Perlan container arrived in early June to Mendoza to beat the worst of the winter weather. Roads leading to El Calafate were still partially closed the last few days. But the team has arrived and today the container and crane both arrived at the airport. Aero Club Lago Argentino will again host Perlan Project in their spacious hangar. It was a cold but happy time to be on the Aero Club’s ramp. The brief 1 minute video linked below shows the container download and re-positioning.
