Alec Guay is a 24 year old engineer and glider pilot from Massachusetts. Alec designed and fabricated Perlan’s composite CubeSat & Science rack for 2018 flight certification. Over the past four years in Argentina and Nevada, he’s worked with the science instrumentation, rebreather system, ground crew, and flight simulator for the Perlan II. In the off season he crews for both Perlan and its OLC record pilots stateside and across South America- fitting in as much soaring, cycling, hiking, or skiing as free time allows!
Alec currently lives and works in Boston for the Airbus additive manufacturing & design subsidiary APworks. He is excited to join the team again this year and keep his Spanish sharp with the local Argentines!
