Kristina Messner is CEO of Messner Media Group LLC, a full-service strategic communications firm specializing in aerospace, transportation, technology, and defense. With over three decades of experience guiding communications for startups, global corporations, and mission-driven innovators, she helps clients shape narratives, engage audiences, and activate brand strategies that align with business goals.
Kristina’s background includes work with industry leaders such as Airbus, CACI, Cobham Mission Systems (Eaton), Hitachi, InterContinental Hotels Group, LexisNexis, NEW (Asurion), Orolia (SAFRAN), and innovators in industries such as aviation, consumer electronics, defense, energy, healthcare, intelligence, robotics, and sensor technology.
A seasoned spokesperson, Kristina provides media training, presentation coaching, and executive support for C-suite leaders navigating high-stakes communications—from mergers and change management to internal engagement and brand transformation.
Since 2015, Kristina has served as a key communications partner for Airbus on the Airbus Perlan Mission II initiative, working closely with a collaborative team to share the story of the world’s highest-flying glider with audiences worldwide. She has supported every major campaign since the project’s first flight in Oregon in 2015, including record-setting milestones in 2017 and 2018, the 2019 Argentina flight test season (with a week on site), and Perlan 2’s first U.S. public flight demonstration at EAA AirVenture in 2022. Kristina’s work has included media relations, video and podcast production, live-streamed events, Collier Trophy presentation support, and coordination with partners. Her agency also led the creation of The Perlan Project’s current website and continues to support the team’s communications efforts.
Kristina has a bachelor’s degree in Political Communications from George Washington University. She is a member of the National Press Club, Tower Club, and Public Relations Society of America National Capital Chapter.
