The Cobra Trailer has arrived!
On July 8, 2015 the Cobra trailer was released from Customs in Baltimore! It is now on its way to Redmond to pick up the Perlan 2 and take it to the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, WI.

Wings fitted to fuselage
The wings have been fitted to the fusealge after installation of the control rods. After the fitting is completed the final work on the fuselage will be done prior to sending the fuselage to the paint shop.
Perlan 2 will carry CubeSats built by students
The Perlan Project and Teachers in Space will be training high school teachers this summer to build CubeSats with experiments that can be carried to the edge of space. Students will build the science packages this next year. They will be carried on Airbus Perlan Mission 2 flights to the edge of space in the summer of 2016. The CubeSat training will happen in August of 2015 in Palmdale, California. The CubeSat containers shown here were made by Perlan team member Morgan Sandercock on a 3D printer.
BRS installation
The Perlan 2 will have a ballistic recovery chute for emergency descent to the ground. The BRS strap has been installed on the fuselage prior to sending the fuselage to the paint shop. BRS Aerospace has donated time and expertise to the design and installation.

Perlan at Paris Airshow 2015
Thanks to Airbus, a model of the Perlan 2 was exhibited at the Pairis Le Bourget Airshow June 15-21, 2015. This model is now on permanent display at the Airbus Group Technology building. Here's just a few photos of the setup, before the public was allowed in on the first day.
